Who You Talk To

After you send a request, you talk to an independent concrete provider in our network. That is a local business, not Cdlegs Concrete. The provider answers your questions, looks at the job and gives you a written quote. Cdlegs Concrete is the matchmaker, nothing more.

What Happens on the First Conversation

Expect a few simple questions. Where is the project? How big is the area? Is it a driveway, a patio or a stamped finish? Is there an old slab to remove? Have you seen cracks, sinking or flaking? Have your measurements and photos handy. The provider may suggest a site visit before quoting, since soil, slope and drainage change the work.

What to Ask an Independent Provider

Write your questions down before the talk. Good ones include:

  • Do you hold the license or registration this area requires?
  • What will the base and thickness be?
  • How will you handle drainage and control joints?
  • What finish and sealer do you suggest for our climate?
  • When can the work start, and what could delay it?
  • Is the quote written, and what does it include?

If you want stamped concrete patios, ask to see photos of past stamped work. Ask how the color and pattern hold up in sun.

You Are in Control

A request does not lock you into anything. There is no obligation to hire the provider who contacts you. Compare quotes. Ask for changes. Say no if the plan feels wrong. Read any agreement closely before you sign it, and keep your own copy.

If a provider says your problem is outside their trade, listen. A sinking slab beside the house may need foundation repair experts before any new concrete goes down. Know when to stop and get that looked at first.
